Apple to Replace the Display Screen of iPhone 11 for Free. Here’s Why

Just a year of the launch of iPhone 11, Apple has launched a free program to repair the display on the devices. This program is for those who have been experiencing glitches in their touch screen, which owes an issue with the display module.

However, not all Apple iPhone 11 users are facing this issue, which brings us to the fact that models that were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 are the only ones that are facing the issue.

In an update on Friday, Apple said, “Our company has concluded that a small number of iPhone 11 display may cause trouble and may even stop working.”

Apple also guided its users to check if their phones are eligible for this free program, “In case your Apple iPhone 11 has been experiencing this issue, all you need to do is use the number checker for finding out if the device you own is eligible for this program. If it is, Apple or an authorised Apple service provider will do the job for you, free of charge.” The repair programme, however, is only for the regular iPhone 11 model and is not applicable for iPhone Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Is Google really requesting a “refund” from App Store on behalf of iPhone users?

Apple is also offering a refund to the users who have already paid for the repair, and all the users need to do is contact Apple for a refund. However, according to Apple, if your Apple iPhone 11 has any other damage which undermines the ability for a full repair, this issue might need resolving before the screen repair. This might also include charges.

This program will cover affected iPhone devices at least for 2 years after the first sale of the product.
