Jack Ma who is a billionaire, from China is suspected to be missing after not being sighted anywhere in the past few months according to the reporting by the Chinese media. The reason behind the absence of the multimillion entrepreneur is also not entirely known to anyone. It has only been speculated that this is because he has allegedly been under observation by the Chinese government. His two companies, Ant Group, and Alibaba Group have also been in scrutiny because of a speech that he made in October of 2020.
When he made the speech in Shanghai In October 2020, is also when he was sighted last. In the speech, he talked about how reforms were needed in the financial state of China. He even held Chinese officials directly responsible for how things were and said that the financial system that is in place in China right now is a result of the Industrial revolution and needs to be changed to suit the current times.
His speech seemingly offended the authorities in China and set off an investigation on both of his business firms, Ant group, and Alibaba.com after which he has neither been seen in public nor has he made any activities on any of his social media platforms. He even missed the finale of his show “Africa’s Business Heroes” although his spokesperson blamed that on his busy schedule.
